Frequently Asked Questions
Do you see children?
We certainly do. At Wharton Dental, whole families are always welcome, and our staff is happy to treat your littlest loved ones with the kind, gentle attention they need to feel at ease. Dental sealants, tooth-colored fillings, and other children’s dentistry services are available to keep their growing smiles on the right track towards lifelong oral health and happiness!
How often should I attend a check-up/cleaning?
Patients of all ages with generally good oral should visit our Wharton, TX practice every six months (or twice each year) for a comprehensive evaluation and cleaning. If we determine that you’re struggling with periodontal disease, extensive tooth decay, or other concerning issues, more frequent appointments may become necessary so that we can give your oral health the support it needs to thrive.
If I need a new dental crown, what kind of material is it made from?
We offer multiple options for dental crowns, and our recommendation for you will depend on your personal smile needs, including the location of the damaged tooth and your available budget. Dr. Tiet understands how important your appearance is to you – that’s why metal-free, high-quality ceramic crowns are always available for a seamlessly lifelike improvement. If strength and durability is a more pressing priority, stainless steel may be encouraged instead.
Will my new filling look unnatural?
Not at all! Instead of traditional amalgam materials, we’re proud to offer tooth-colored fillings that are crafted from naturally shaded composite resin. This material is conservative, comfortable, and so lifelike that most patients aren’t even able to distinguish it from their original enamel once it’s been contoured into place.
I want a straighter smile. What are my options?
At Wharton Dental, we’re happy to help you avoid time-consuming visits to outside specialists and instead enjoy effective orthodontic treatment right here in-office. Both of our doctors have undergone additional training in this field, and both traditional braces and aesthetic-minded services (Invisalign) are available so that patients can select the one that best fits their needs and personal preferences.
Visiting the dentist makes me nervous. Can you help me relax?
Yes! Several comfy, spa-like amenities are available for your enjoyment here at Wharton Dental, and if these special touches aren’t enough, our sedation dentistry services can provide extra assistance. We want our patients to feel at ease as we improve the health and beauty of their smile!
Will you accept my insurance?
We are an in-network provider for several major insurance plans, including Assurant, Delta Dental, Humana, Medicaid, and more. Our team can also file claims on your behalf in most cases for out-of-network plans. To learn more about our payment options, visit our new patient page.
